The web site "RTD (Research and Technology Development) in Slovenia" www.rtd.si is an Inter-ministerial web portal of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, established and managed by the Slovenian Research Agency (SRA) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia (MHEST).

In the modern knowledge-based society RTD serve as the motion for an overall socio-economic development, therefore the present web site has been created to provide general information on activities in the fields of research, science, technology, industrial development, fundamental and targeted applied research in Slovenia and abroad. The RTD web site was established with the aim to raise the awareness of the RTD activities and their influence on all sectors of development.

The mission of this web site is to collect all the available information and to enhance public access to information on the RTD activities within the line ministries in Slovenia, information on regional research co-operation activities, EU programmes, international and European research as well as to support the development of the European Research Area.
